    VT news

looks like Marcus won't be the only person on their way out at VT...although the next ones won't be asked to leave and aren't leaving because of the situation

    here's a list:

Kevin Rogers - he is a good friend of the new Minnesota Vikings coach and it was only a matter of time before KR got a better offer...he will make his decision by wednesday on what he'll do

Danny Pearman - he coaches the TE's at VT and he has been mentioned in some good coaching jobs as a OC and other positions

Kent Hicks - not performing up to potential and has a bad attitude about it all...will be asked to leave or play w/o a scholarship

Tripp Carroll - showed up this season in terrible shape and simply wont put forth the effort to make himself better...same deal as above

Stevie Ray Lloyd - walk-on LB being offered a schollie to JMU

    a couple recruits may de-commit:

Mike Gee - 3 star DE out of NJ...his scholarship offer was pending grades, which he is rumored to not have

Zach Luckett - not liking his recruiting coach leaving

    other notes:

VT had pretty much landed LeSean McCoy until this news about Kevin Rogers...LeSean's recruiting coach...VT may still land him in the end but they need to get someone up there quickly...my guess is they'll send the house (Beamer, Hite and Stinespring) but he is already in prep school til this December

VT had pulled even for Moreno with UGa...this may send him to UGa but he still has a visit to VT which is his last visit

VT will more than likely get Marcus Ball, but he will prep

Why did they retire Macus's Jersey man, thats ridciulous.

    </font><blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr />
In the end, Steger, the university president, retired Marcus Vick's jersey, too. Whether or not Marcus remains at Virginia Tech, he has placed his name as indelibly in Hokie football history as did his brother. Stamped it, even.

thats from the last paragraph of Ivan Maisel's article on espn.com

I talk to Kevin Rogers' godson on another board. He said he's already decided to leave. Also said, he wasn't too happy telling Beamer about the Louisville incident at the half and Beamer refusing to bench him.

that's unfortunate...he's gonna be a hot commodity after his stop in Minnesota, and he will do wonders with Culpepper

I highly doubt that Marcus Ball goes to tech, unless the Florida schools stop recruiting him because of his grades, which may be the case...

Miami isn't offering...he has told the VT staff that VT leads and he is deciding pretty soon
